What a whirlwind tour the past week has been.
We saw some amazing traffic numbers last week with the email campaign behind WagNBrag.com 2.0. Single day traffic records, more than quadrupled the number of pictures uploaded. Some really great stuff.
Also traveled to Knoxville and Dallas in the past 5 days. I know there are people out there who travel a hell of a lot more than I do, but it really wore me out.
I flew into Knoxville on Friday night and spent all weekend prepping for the EF Board meeting in Dallas on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Overall I think it went well. It's hard to gauge as it was my first trip before the board (hopefully of many) and it wasn't as rough as I was led to believe it would be... and I'm not sure that's such a good thing, as now I'll be using this experience as the benchmark for what to expect in the future. I was prepared, I knew my shit and my "company" as much as I can and that helped a ton. In the end, things went well and while I have not received official confirmation, there is no reason not to believe I will be granted additional funding for this quarter. But this quarter is put up or shut up time. We need monumental growth and some serious revenue. (that's my way of saying get your ass over to the site, upload pictures, click on ads and then tell all your friends to do the same)
With the preparation came some bad news, however. My muse, Ms. Staci Martin is not only going to no longer be Ms. Staci Martin but Mrs. Staci Baird (that's not the bad part) but will be leaving Scripps to take a job with some company that's sure to fail. I think they're called LucasArts or something. I don't know much about them, I think they make some silly little sci-fi/fantasy stuff set in a galaxy "far far away." I know, how cliche *eye roll*
So Staci won't be around to be my leaning post any longer. She will be sorely missed as without her help, I couldn't have achieved nearly as much as we accomplished over the last 3 months. God Speed hun, and I'm serious, I want all of those games for my Xbox.

Oh Robbie! So dramatic! Of course I will still be your hero, er, I mean mentor. I am here with my shoulder ready whenever you need it... and I will be happy to continue to tell you what I think you should do with WagnBrag! :-) Here's to many long years of fun with WagNBrag.com. You will continue to see my Monster on the site quite a bit. I'm your number one fan.
